I've read a long time ago (and I dont think it has changed since then, also my game observasions still confirm that) that spotting range of planes is about 10km, maybe it was 1-2km more. I've messed around on the PT with US CVs, and with my overall CV experience I think I could recommend the following:Ĭonsealment Expert on a US CV is a bit meh, usefull only for Midway and Lexi I guess and here's my two cents on it - the main thing that will get you spotted will be planes. I dont find it difficult to play against AS enemy CVs, because most of the time it's easy to avoid their planes, if you spred them around the map well. I only recently started playing US CVs again, currently at the Ranger, full strike and I average 96k dmg with 64% WR, and I dont think I've ever played in a division with it. Yep, this is pretty much your must have skills for your first 10 skill points. Would anyone recommend demolition expert for bomb fire chance? For the most part though concealment expert would be the way to go. Tier 2 - Torpedo Acceleration and Expert Rear GunnerĪfter that, you can feel free to spec concealment expert or even AFT to increase your AA to enhance your defensive fire when using t8 + ships. Tier 1 - Aircraft Servicing Expert and Dogfighting Expert So for the US CV's, honestly you'll take many of the same abilities as you would for the IJN ones.
